HEC Jobs 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Education and experience differ for each post. However, one rule applies to all of them: “experience” counts only if you gained it after completing the minimum required qualification.

Because of the age limits, check the maximum age for your post first. The notification already includes 5 years of general age relaxation, so do not add those years again. Further relaxation is given only as per government rules.
Meanwhile, some experience does not count. Part time, honorary, apprentice and internee (as part of study) experience is not accepted. Also note that candidates already in government service must apply through proper channel.

Test and Interview Process
HEC will conduct tests at the location nearest to each candidate. The listed cities are Islamabad/Rawalpindi, Karachi, Lahore, Quetta and Peshawar.
After that, only shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview. In addition, HEC will not pay TA/DA for the test or interview.
