Community Health Officer (13 posts)
This is a field role that supports TB case finding. The officer works with private providers, pharmacies and labs. The officer maps and engages providers and organizes chest camps and review meetings. The officer also enters data in DHIS2 (a health data system), follows up patients who stop treatment, and helps deliver drugs and lab supplies.
- Education: Minimum graduate
- Experience: 0–1 year. Community-related work is preferred, especially on a TB project.
- Other requirements: Good knowledge of regional languages and local areas, own conveyance, good communication skills and a friendly manner
Assistant Manager Community Health – AMCH (1 post)
This role supervises field staff and provider networks in Karachi. The post-holder makes field visits and reviews the work plans of Community Health Officers, TB Screeners and Counselors. The role also covers data reporting, lab visit checks and TB drug stock management.
- Education: Medical graduate, MPH or a master’s degree in a relevant field
- Experience: 1–2 years of field operations in a managerial role is preferred
- Skills: Data management and analysis, strong MS Office skills (especially PowerPoint and Excel), communication, leadership and administration
TB Screener (6 posts)
Screeners work in hospital outpatient departments. They screen visitors with the TB screening tool and send presumptive cases (people who may have TB) to the designated doctor. They follow up patients by phone and enter data in DHIS2. They also counsel patients and families and trace patients who have dropped out of treatment.
- Education: FA/FSc. Graduation is preferred.
- Experience: 0–2 years. Prior community work or TB project experience is preferred.

Counselor – TB (2 posts)
Counselors reach registered TB patients and their eligible family members to offer TB preventive therapy (TPT). They counsel by phone, at selected private hospitals and through household visits. They also visit contact-screening chest camps, track contacts until outcomes are declared, and file monthly progress reports.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Psychology or a relevant discipline
- Experience: Counselor or similar work in the development sector is desirable. The experience field shows 1–2 years.
- Skills: Communication, counselling, coordination and training skills, plus strong MS Office skills
Lab Gene X-pert Incharge (1 post)
This post is based in Muzaffargarh. The incharge tests patient specimens on the GeneXpert machine (a rapid TB test) and reports results on time. The role includes reporting rifampicin-resistant cases immediately and maintaining and calibrating the equipment. It also covers cartridge stock monitoring and advising patients on good sputum samples.
- Education: BSc in Medical Laboratory Technology from a recognized institute. Greenstar considers an FSc in Medical Laboratory Technology instead if the candidate has the desired experience and skills.
- Experience: At least one year in a clinical or microbiology laboratory. TB laboratory experience is an asset.
- Skills: Biosafety and infection control knowledge, computer and data-system skills, strong MS Office skills, communication and administration
Office Boy (1 post)
The office boy provides general administrative and operational support in Karachi. Duties include maintaining supplies, files and records and assisting with field expense documents. The role also covers reception duties and keeping the kitchen clean.
