SPSC Medical Officer Eligibility Criteria
Both posts need the same three qualifications:
- An MBBS from a university recognized by the Higher Education Commission (HEC).
- Registration with the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC).
- Completion of one year of house job.
The advertisement accepts equivalent degrees only when a post’s qualifications explicitly say so. Neither post’s qualifications mention equivalents. Likewise, the post rows list no other experience requirement.
Candidates must hold the required qualification and relevant certificates on the closing date. SPSC counts experience from the date a candidate gains the minimum academic qualification.
Age limit
The Medical Officer (Male) row prints the age limit as “21/28”. The Lady Medical Officer row prints “21-28”. Both read as 21 to 28 years.
The advertisement also says general age relaxation applies under Notification No. SOII (SGA&CD) 5-64/2011 (Part-II), dated 6 March 2025. However, the relaxation excludes Police Service and posts filled through Combined Competitive Examinations. Check the notification yourself before assuming it applies to you.

Important Instructions
- Enter your correct CNIC number and date of birth. A wrong entry leads to rejection.
- Domicile, PRC on Form-D, rural or urban quota, age, qualification, experience and examination centre cannot change after the closing date.
- Government and semi-government employees must apply through proper channel.
- SPSC does not consider ineligible, conditional or incomplete applications.
- SPSC may vary the number of posts without notice.
- The Commission may correct any error at any stage if it finds one later.
Special assistance for candidates with permanent disabilities
Candidates who need help in the written test must tell SPSC at least seven days before the examination. They must write to the Controller of Examinations under Regulation 58(A) of the RMR, 2023. A copy goes to the PS to the Chairperson, SPSC.
The application needs an attested disability certificate from the Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disabilities, Government of Sindh, and a special NADRA CNIC. Candidates must also bring the originals to the examination centre. Otherwise, SPSC provides no assistance.
